About Kim Campbell

Kim Campbell was dancing with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall when she met music legend Glen Campbell on a blind date.  After a year long whirlwind courtship, the couple married in 1982. Together they have three children – Cal, Shannon and Ashley – all musicians following in their father’s footsteps.

Their marriage of more than three decades became a testament to devotion and overcoming adversity as Kim first helped Glen overcome his addictions only to face their greatest challenge when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011.

Kim, Glen and their three children courageously went public with the diagnosis and invited filmmakers to document Glen’s “Goodbye Tour” and inevitable decline, resulting in the award-winning documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. The film helped break the stigma of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis and continues to give hope and comfort to families facing the same challenges.

Sadly, Glen lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on August 8, 2017.

Determined to continue Glen’s quest to educate the world about Alzheimer’s Disease, Kim has made it her personal mission to improve the quality of life for people with dementia and their caregivers by launching, a social movement designed to inspire, encourage and empower caregivers to care for themselves while caring for others.

Her many accolades include:

  • 2015 Ballington and Maud Booth Award – Volunteers Of America
  • 2015 Caregiver Leadership Award - Alzheimer’s Association New York City Chapter
  • 2014 Music Has Power Award - IMNF (Institute for Music and Neurologic Function)
